During a meeting in Mexico City, Coparmex emphasized the importance of digital transformation and how companies must adapt to new technologies. Specialists shared strategies to enhance trade with the United States, boosting key sectors such as semiconductors and electromobility.

Following Donald Trump's victory in the United States elections, Coparmex Ciudad de México organized a meeting with its members. At this event, prominent speakers such as Pedro Casas Alatriste, executive vice president and general director of the American Chamber, Óscar Banda, vice president of B2B at AT&T, Patrick Cassidi, commercial counselor at the U.S. Embassy, César Augusto Rendón García, federal deputy from the PAN, and Alberto Ruiz Rioja, a customs agent with more than three decades of experience, provided key strategies.

In this regard, Pedro Casas Alatriste emphasized the need for companies in Mexico to adapt to a new value proposition to face changes in the trade relationship with the United States following Trump's victory. He highlighted the importance of digital transformation and the adoption of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence and big data to remain in the global market.

The vice president of B2B at AT&T, Óscar Banda, a participant in the event, mentioned that Mexico and the United States have the largest trade relationship in the world, with an exchange of nearly 100 million dollars per hour. This figure underscores the relevance of Mexican companies being prepared to capitalize on export and import opportunities.

During the meeting, led by the commissions of International Relations, Innovation and Technology, and Nearshoring and Foreign Trade of Coparmex Ciudad de México, emphasis was placed on the importance of building strategic alliances to strengthen regional trade integration. The opening message highlighted Coparmex CDMX's commitment to supporting entrepreneurs in facing the challenges of binational trade.

For his part, Alberto Ruiz Rioja offered valuable key points for importing and exporting based on his extensive experience in the field. Among his recommendations were understanding the environment, agility in logistics and processing times, ensuring legal security, and being open to innovation.
